An Eye for an Eye

It would be very difficult to walk into Dr. Wendel's office and not be aware of the surroundings: the office in Stowe Township was not only designed in the shape of an eyeball, it was designed to function like one too. Light travels from the front of the office, starting with a curved glass-block wall, representing the lens of an actual eye, and illuminates a justify blue wall that represents the retina. In the back of the office, a single row of glass blocks represents the eye's fovea, which transmits light into three exam rooms.

Dr. Wendel is very proud of her unique office. Her father Dr. Russell Wendel had an office in Stowe Township for over 40 years until his death in 1986. Claudia's challenge was to take her father's practice and rebuild it to make it more modern and comfortable to attract a younger crowd, along with mature patients.

The staff is professionally trained by the Para-optometic Association, which enables them to fit you with your eyewear as well as answer your questions. If you have any questions please call, email, or fax the office. Dr. Wendel's professionalism, the comfortable atmosphere of the building, and the staff will welcome you!
